Why I love my office
IMG_3312.jpeg

My office is a cozy, book-lined room, with a dark wooden desk and a window overlooking the garden. I am happy there, although on some days, when there is rather a lot of traffic on the road, it can be quite noisy.

But I like looking out of the window while I study, writing on my laptop. I am a city person. If I go for a short walk, I come back brimming with ideas. I find myself quiet often at my desk. I use a laptop, which is usually buried under papers, and I have a typewriter, too. I like typewriters; you can type with real flourish. I can easily loose the sense of time while writing that’s why I always keep my DiaMaster Rado watch on my wrist.

Tips on How To Take Care of Your Watch
IMG_1805.jpeg

A watch does more than just tell the time. Often, there are personal memories associated with it, making it an incredibly sentimental object. And, if taken care of properly, you can pass your watch on to future generations. Like I am planning to do with my Rado HyperChrome Autmatic Chronograph. Watches are built to last, and it’s not difficult to properly take care of it to keep it in top shape:

1.Clean your watch as often as possible. Take a soft cloth and wipe down the band and the case to remove any dirt or dust.

2.Get your watch serviced every two or three years for a mechanical watch and three to four years for a quartz watch.

3. Know your watch’s water resistance. Most watches these days are built with some water resistance, but vintage watches tend to lose their waterproofness over time. If your watch is not water resistant, it can still handle small splashes of water, but it’s best to avoid it. And, if your watch has a leather band, avoid getting your watch wet –water weakens the leather.

4. Take care of the crystal. This is quite obvious, but it’s still important and worth mentioning. Take every precaution you can to prevent from banging the crystal of your watch against a wall or any other objects that may cause scratches.

5. Keep your watch box for storage. When not wearing your watch, it’s best to keep it in the box it came in. By setting the watch on its side or on the crystal, there is always the possibility the watch could get scratched. The watch box is made to keep the watch safe and offers protection for the watch.

6. Never open your watch by yourself. Leave this to a watchmaker. Opening your watch can expose it to dust, dirt, and other particles that can get inside the movement, so it’s best to leave this up to a professional.

Would you head to a big meeting with a potential client without shaving or combing your hair? Would you go to meet the top tax lawyer in your town wearing a tattered suit and worn tie? Would you set up for a presentation to a room full of bankers wearing scuffed up shoes with the soles coming off? No? You wouldn’t? Then why would you overlook your watch? Why would you not make sure that, in addition to grooming a nice suit, you wore a proper timepiece? Just as a tailored suit and fresh haircut give me confidence to go into a meeting, a good timepiece also gives me that exact feeling. It has a subconscious effect. I realize that, most of the time, people are staring at my watch but one way or another, just wearing it gives me a boost to my confidence. If you consider the business world to be a battlefield sometimes, then your timepiece is like your secret ally. Going into a presentation wearing your Rado watch makes it feel like you will be well received. That kind of confidence helps you to perform better. Is this considered insecurity? Yes! Of course it is! But why not stack the odds in your favour?

schedule, I really need to wear a watch. Wearing a watch is a great way to add interest to an outfit as well, which makes them essential.

Hello everyone!

Today I’m thrilled to share with you some very exciting news: my latest collaboration is with Rado!

Rado is a globally recognised brand famous for innovative design and its visionary use of revolutionary materials to create some of the world’s most durable watches. This famous Swiss watch brand has always had a pioneering spirit, with the philosophy “if we can imagine it, we can make it” still holding true today.

Using only the finest high-quality materials, Rado focuses on hardness, scratch resistance and durability for its watches. Lightness and wearer comfort are also key features.

Key milestones in Rado’s impressive history include the brand’s first scratch-resistant watch in 1962, its status as one of the first watch companies to use high-tech ceramic in the 1980s and the injected monobloc high-tech ceramic case. Rado is also known for its pioneering use of plasma high-tech ceramic which has a unique metallic shine without using any metal. It’s no surprise that Rado is known as the Master of Materials.

Rado’s unique approach to design has been recognised with numerous prestigious international design awards and the brand collaborates with leading designers from different areas of design on some of its collections. Rado is dedicated to design and works with some of the world’s most important design fairs. The brand also runs its Rado Star Prize competition around the world to support up-and-coming designers, giving them a platform to show their work.

Style and substance are of equal importance at Rado. That’s why I’m so excited by this collaboration.

How To Dress In Summer
Watch: Rado HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph

The sun is out, temperature is up, and you’re left wondering how to dress during this season and keep looking sharp.

You want to dress well, but you also want to stay comfortable. (And you’re absolutely right, because obvious discomfort is the most unstylish thing a man can wear.)

Well, dressing well in summer isn’t as hard as you might think.

You don’t need multiple layers to look your best. You can look great wearing just a single layer and by choosing the right accessories. And if you invest in summer-appropriate fabrics like linen and cotton, you can even still wear layers without ending up a sweaty mess. Linen is probably my favorite one and has been the warm weather cloth of choice for centuries for good reason. It’s super lightweight, breathable, and absorbs moisture exceptionally well. Adding an all time classic watch to your outfit will upgrated and will make you stand out from the crowd. I choose the HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph, an automatic watch made of plasma high-tech ceramic. A very durable watch which means I do not have to worry about it and enjoy my summertime.

I really enjoy summertime. I like spending time with friends and family. Living the most! Dressing comfortably and caring the least about my outfits. So a total blue outfit is probably my go to look. But even during summers I do not have a lot of spare time, which means I need to check time constantly. My Rado watch is there to help me. I am choosing the HyperChrome Automatic Chronograph, an automatic watch made of plasma high-tech ceramic. It is very durable and also water resistant which makes it even more ideal during summertime.  And you? How do you spend your summer days and what do you wear?
