My New Etro Peisley Run Shoes

Suit: Armani / Shoes: Etro Paisley Run

A few weeks ago and very unexpected I received a package in my house by Etro! I opened it and I couldn’t believe that inside the package was the pair of shoes that I have been obsessed with since they released them! The Paisley Run shoe! Designed as a common project between men’s and women’s collections, the Paisley Run sneakers are inspired by hiking shoes and made from jacquard fabric with a Paisley motif from the brand’s archives. I felt in love with them from the day I saw them and I can not stop wearing them! You can find them here.

THE STATEMENT KNIT
Total Outfit by: Pepe Jeans London

When you hear the word “sweater,” what do you first visualise? A grey, greenish, navy or brown-hued, chunky knit combination - slightly baggy and oversized - automatically surfaces somewhere in your mind. Symbolically, it is warmth for a chilly day condensed down into a single garment that’s cut perfectly for wearing over a button-down shirt or roll-neck. The statement knit, a trend that caught our eye roughly a year ago, obliterates all that. Forget about cable knits; the finer the gauge, the better. With texture taking a back seat, it opens up the gates for colours, patterns, prints and graphics: If you can see it on a tee, bomber, or ski jacket, it’s now on a sweater, too.

Shopping - September Issue
3.jpg

Hello guys!

As you may already know, I love shopping! I try always to find unique pieces for my closet but also things that will fit in really easy.

I was looking for a great pair of white sneakers for the longest but I wanted a really unique piece! Thank god I found those Etro white leather sneakers! I can easily where them from day to night and the most important you will not see everyone wearing them. Go check them! I highly recommend them.

Balenciaga is so hot at the moment. Last year I bought the sock trainers and I really loved them. For this season I though why not to go for the Triple S. The ugly shoe trend is still on and even though they are really heavy, they look amazing.

Last but not least I wanted to buy a new backpack for everyday use. I wanted a classic piece that I could also travel with. So Louis Vuitton was definitely the one! I bough the Christopher PM and it is really comfortable and stylish.

How To Get A Bohemian Style

One key look that many men want to achieve is the bohemian style. It’s cool, laid back and comfortable but still has a certain element of stylishness to it. This look is more about your attitude rather than specific wardrobe additions but there’s a few things you can add to your collections to help you nail this effortless style. Let’s jump into it

Get Lighter

This isn’t about dropping a few bounds, it’s about going for lighter colorways. Pale blue jeans, brighter shirts and deeper colored accessories are what make this look far more approachable. You want to stay away from monochrome outfits and having too many browns and dark tones in your outfit. Keep things light and relaxed.

Get Accessories

Usually we would say don’t go overboard on the finishing touches to your outfits but that goes out of the window here. This is where you’ll be adding most of the personality and uniqueness to the style. Go for hats, necklaces, rings, bracelets, bandanas and scarves a pivotal look to the bohemian style. Again, not all at once, but two or three at a time should do the trick. And don’t make them too premium, we’re looking for leather bracelets, rope necklaces with a pendant and anything with an air of individuality about it.

Get Lazier

This doesn’t mean start sitting on your arse for days on end and obstaining from a good shower. It means being a little more lax with the ironing, opt for comfier footwear with the laces undone, let your accessories hang off you in a more care-free fashion and don’t buy everything to fit you perfectly. Obviously don’t do all these things at once or it’s going to be really hard to make it look stylish. Just a couple of these at once and you’ll give off a much more relaxed vibe.

Milan Fashion Week - Etro Presentation
IMG_1811.jpg

With models lounging on giant cushions, perched on vintage trunks or reclining on kitsch patterned sofas, their decorative outfits blending with the furniture, all that was missing was a psychedelic soundtrack. Etro for the presentation of its 50th anniversary men’s collection — presented at the cavernous Palazzo del Ghiaccio, the ice-skating rink in Milan — recruited the help of local auction houses to re-create the home of a dandy without the walls, with all of the items up for sale. The message? “The way you live is the way you dress, and I’ve always been known as an interior decorator of men’s,” quipped Kean Etro, seated in a vintage orange chair, dressed in a check suit and shirt accessorized with a beaded headband. “The design started from here,” he added, pointing down to a Persian carpet, symbolizing the origins of the house’s paisley symbol, as models sauntered by in long, lean, graphic carpet coats and droopy sweaters with bands of carpet embroidery. One gleaming all-embroidered tuxedo jacket was a work of art. Tailoring ranged from fitted suits in jewel tones to classic suiting in stuffy plaids but updated with bold colorways, such as orange accents in the overcheck. Even the subtler stuff, like a camel coat, sported a stitchwork outline of a horse at the back.

In Milan Fashion Week for the Etro Spring-Summer 2017 Collection

Hello Ladies & Gentlemen,

On Monday I was super lucky to be in Milan and to attend the Etro Spring Summer 2017 fashion show. The concept, really thin and philosophical, was the man's addiction to water. A magnetism that is congenital, as the desire to surrender to the sea beds.  Each fabric fiber of this parade of Etro breathed spontaneously. It’s written in the models walk, in their looks and gestures. It was for sure one of my favorite fashion shows this season ( click here to see the entire Etro Spring Summer 2017 collection).

P.S Oh I didn't mention that the Shirt and the scarf in the pictures are Etro.

Etro Spring Summer 2017

Etro’s spring-summer 2017 runway show served as a meeting of friends and family as Kean Etro recruited those closest to him to hit the catwalk alongside models. Muted tones were married with relaxed silhouettes as the Etro man took on a grounded approach to the fashion house’s celebrated penchant for prints. Unstructured suits were joined by band collar shirts, striped tees, lightweight knit sweaters and leisure bombers. Oversize coats, slouchy tees, overshirts, patterned polo shirts and summerweight field jackets brought the lineup to a successful finish. Gentleman's Diary Magazine's Editor-In-Chief Pasquale Karatzetzo attended the show and as he shares with the us the room was buzzing with good vibrations and well made-fashionably garments. Thumbs up to Etro!
