Elton John's 1972 Ferrari Daytona Could Now Be Yours

Ferrari aficionados will be excited to learn that a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona previously owned by five-time Grammy Award winner Elton John is now up for auction.

The vintage car was the Prancing Horse’s answer to Lamborghini’s mid-engine Miura in 1966, and quickly became the world’s fastest road car at the time, with a 4.4L quad-cam V12 engine pushing out 352 horsepower — an impressive amount in that era. The current one on sale was first registered on August 3, 1972, and is one of only 158 right-hand drive Daytonas supplied to the UK. Records confirm that Sir Elton John actually owned the racer between 1973-1975, and it’s rumored that he bought the vehicle with the proceeds from “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road.”

The beautiful vintage machine has since been passed down to various owners, all of whom are members of the Ferrari Owners’ Club. Purchase of the car will come with all its original documentation including the build sheet, order forms, delivery correspondence and even every service receipt. Silverstone Auctions will also provide every MOT Certificate ever issued for this Daytona, which documents a grand mileage of just 82,000 miles.

Vintage car enthusiasts or Ferrari collectors can head over to Silverstone Auctions’ website to learn more, and bid on the Elton John-owned 1972 Daytona now. The auction house estimates a sale price between £425,000 – £475,000 GBP, which is roughly $516,230 – $576,965 USD.

Car Collectors Erupt as 1939 Porsche Type 64 Mistakenly Sells for $70 Million USD
source: Hypebeast.com

source: Hypebeast.com

Amongst all the amazing rare cars that were auctioned off this past weekend by RM Sotheby’s Monterey, including the $19.8 Million USD 1994 McLaren F1 “LM-Specification,” one particular car drew an extreme amount of media attention. Unfortunately for the venerable auction house, this wasn’t the kind of press that engenders confidence amongst its millionaire bidders.

The one-of-three 1939 Porsche Type 64 — originally estimated to go for upwards of $20 million USD — was initially given an opening bid of $13 million USD. However, the auctioneer’s pronunciation of “13” was apparently misheard by the technical crew; thus, an opening bid of $30 million USD appeared on the bid counter on the rear wall. A flurry of confused bids followed, as the room of bewildered collectors began filming the ordeal. Eventually, the Type 64’s final price landed at the princely sum of $70 million USD, dwarfing the original estimate.

The New York Times explains that due to either technical errors or the auctioneer’s British accent, the bids that followed the opener were submitted in $10 million USD increments, instead of the comparatively reasonable $1 million USD increments. Whatever the case, the $70 million USD bid ( (over $20 million USD higher than the $48 million USD 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO auction) was quickly swapped for a high bid of $17 million USD, much to the befuddlement of the crowd.

A representative from RM Sotheby’s issued a statement, explaining, “as bidding opened on the Type 64, increments were mistakenly displayed on the screen, causing unfortunate confusion in the room. We take pride in conducting our world-class auctions with integrity and we take our responsibility to our clients very seriously.”

How To Choose The Perfect Pair Of Shorts
Total look: Tom Tailor by Shopandtrade.gr

Total look: Tom Tailor by Shopandtrade.gr

I really enjoy wearing shorts during my vacation holidays. At Spetses it becomes a necessity because the island is a destination for many yatchs and everyone is in that kind of mood. I found the perfect pair this year from Tom Tailor. A simple beige pair of shorts with great length and amazing fit. Below you will find a simple guide on how to choose the perfect pair of shorts for you.

1. Pay attention to the fit and your physique. If you have long slim legs, choose slim cut shorts that end above the knee for a great look. If you are short and a little chubby, go for short shorts that are not too tight, because you do not want to look like a pressed sausage.

2. Wear them with confidence and pride and use classic patterns use as stripes, checks or solids.

3. Consider shorts for very casual events such as backyard barbecues at friends but avoid sloppiness: cargo shorts, a t-shirt and flip-flops will make you look like an unsophisticated college boy, while a pair of madras shorts, with polo shirt and boat shoes or loafers will make you look debonair.

4. Wear skin-toned or heather gray underwear when wearing white or light colored shorts. Otherwise, your underwear will show through

Men's Swim Trunks Guide & How They Should Fit
My latest favorite trunk swimsuit is this orange Tom Tailor which fits perfectly!

My latest favorite trunk swimsuit is this orange Tom Tailor which fits perfectly!

Below you will find some easy ways to find and purchase the best trunk swimsuit for you buddy.

Waist – Just tight enough that they stay up without having to use the drawstring Thigh – Not skin tight, but not too much excess material either. Mobility is important, so don't sacrifice comfort for a super slim fit!

Length – Should end somewhere between two and four inches above the top of your knee cap.

Leg Opening – This is almost as important as length because. Just like pants, if the leg opening is too wide, your legs will look thin and wimpy. It should be wide enough for your the shorts to slide up and down your legs, but narrow enough so they don't billow out.

Think about the shape you want to create. You want your swim shorts to follow the natural shape of your body, rather than masking or distorting it.

2019 Audi A4
Pasquale Karatzetzo - Gentlemans Diary Magazine - Audi Car Review

The updated Audi A4 range is due to go on sale soon, and pricing has appeared on some company car lists.

Although it hasn't been officially announced by the brand, an industry source confirmed to Autocar that the 2019 A4 will start from £30,725 in base Technik form with the 35 TFSI petrol engine. The 188bhp diesel is automatic-only and priced from £34,480.

Those figures represent an increase of around £1500 over the previous entry-level SE spec. However, technology and kit upgrades will help justify the list price increase, as will competitive leasing costs.

The non-RS range flagship at launch will be the newly diesel-powered S4. That's priced at £47,295 in standard trim, with higher-spec Black Edition and Vorsprung models also available.

In an attempt to keep pace with rivals such as the new BMW 3 Series, the compact executive saloon has received an exterior and interior revamp to bring it in line with Audi’s current design themes. The firm says the changes are more substantial than is usual for a facelift, and include a range of hybridised engines.

OUR VERDICT

Audi A4

The Audi A4 zeroes in on efficiency, technology and quality - but is it enough to drive compact saloon buyers away from the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class?

Driven this week

The revised A4 will be available with three 2.0-litre turbo petrol engines featuring a 12-volt mild hybrid system and ranging from 148bhp to 241bhp, along with two diesels: a 188bhp 2.0-litre and a 241bhp 3.0-litre. A 12-volt mild hybrid 2.0-litre diesel unit, with 134bhp or 161bhp, will follow after the launch.

The S4, a rival to the Mercedes-AMG C43, will be offered in Europe purely as a mild-hybrid diesel, with a 3.0-litre engine mated to a 48-volt integrated starter/motor for a total output of 342bhp and 516lb ft of torque.

The S4 will be offered with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive, with sport suspension as standard and a sport differential and suspension with damper control available as options.

The entry-level 35 TFI and 40 TDI will be offered after launch with a manual gearbox as standard. All other models will be automatic as standard. Seven and eight-speed ’boxes will be used, with a six-speed manual following as an option. Entry-level A4s will be front-wheel drive, with Audi’s quattro all-wheel-drive system available on higher-spec models.

Mercedes-Benz GLE 400d 2019
Pasquale Karatzetzo - Gentlemans Diary Magazine - mercedes benz gle 400d

We’re now getting through the range of the fourth-generation Mercedes-Benz GLE (once known as M-Class), which brings us here to the most potent diesel-powered version you can buy.

The GLE 400d uses a 2.9-litre straight-six turbodiesel producing 325bhp and a hefty 516lb ft. You can also get a lower-powered (268bhp) version of this engine in the 350d, plus an entry-level four-cylinder in the 300d with 242bhp. Whatever version you choose, power is sent to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

Elsewhere, the 400d is much the same as we already know. This new GLE is longer, wider and lower than the car before it and comes with the option of seven seats for the first time. It’s also a technological tour-de-force, with a high-tech, high-quality interior and just one trim 'option': AMG Line.

Yet the GLE’s real party piece that we were so impressed by on its international launch, the clever E-Active suspension – which integrates a development of the Airmatic air suspension with a 48-volt electrical system and camera to scan the road ahead and individually prime each wheel – remains absent from the UK options list and therefore our test car.

2-mercedes-gle-400d-2019-uk-fd-hero-side.jpg

What we can marvel at on the GLE, though, is that engine. It’s a really lovely thing, with actual aural character. That’s so lacking in most petrol cars these days, let alone diesels that were never known for their bark, yet the growl from the under the bonnet as you explore the wide band of torque – which is delivered with some considerable shove – will raise a smile. It’s an engine willing to be revved, and one with acceleration that feels better than the official 0-62mph time of 7.6sec suggests.

The engine is ideally suited for towing, too, our GLE coming equipped with the £1150 Towing Package that boosts capacity to a mighty 3500kg. Real-world economy hovered around 30mpg on our mixed-roads test route, which is decent if not outstanding for a big, heavy car, yet the 85-litre fuel tank at least means infrequent fill-ups, thanks to a range of close to 600 miles.

A great engine, then, but not a great car overall. While the primary ride is as about as comfortable as they come, the secondary ride really lets your backside know you’ve been over a bump or a scar in the road surface. It’s the biggest thing that lets the 400d’s mask slip from being a complete, well-rounded, luxurious and comfortable SUV.

The biggest thing, but not the only thing: it also exhibits too much roll around corners, with steering too remote to feel you’re hanging on and the car’s taking you around a corner rather than you guiding it around yourself if you display even the tiniest bit of enthusiasm.

This dynamic performance makes it all the telling that the lacking E-Active suspension is chiefly designed to counteract body lean, as well as iron out the ride by reading the road ahead, much like the previous version of the system – Magic Body Control – used on the S-Class. It’s too expensive an option for Mercedes UK to deem worth offering here, but it would be fascinating to see just how much it could transform the GLE.

The Best Sneakers of 2019

2019 is already shaping up to be a very good year for sneakers. From forward-thinking new styles to an influx of rereleases and retros that genuinely deserve the hype, there's a lot that's worthy of your attention. As expected, big players like Nike, Adidas, and Jordan are all delivering everything from updated classics shoes to on-point collaborations. But that's just part of the equation. New Balance still knows exactly how to make dad shoes feel cool, Greats still delivers on value and sophistication, and specialized brands like Salomon are making us rethink our priorities. Here are the best sneakers of the year so far.

Nike React Presto 'Brutal Honey'

Reworking the Air Presto was a roll of the dice in theory, but the React version—especially in an old-school colorway—just plain works. Add in some incredibly comfy cushioning and you've got a winner.

05-2-nike-react-presto-brutal-honey-1557521472.jpg

Nike SB Dunk High 'Walk the Dog'

These shoes are ostensibly an homage to many different dog breeds, and that's cool. But notice the release date. And all that green on the upper. Yeah, there's that, too.

Nike x Heron Preston Air Max 720/95

The one you see here is just a single iteration of the many possible combinations that were available through Nike and Heron Preston's collaboration. It's all about keeping things personal.

New Balance x Bodega 997S 'No Days Off'

New Balance's 997 Sport got a remix courtesy of Bodega in April of 2019, giving the new style some very attractive colorblocking and a little extra street cred.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Clay'

Adidas recently upped the production of a lot of the shoes in its collaborative line with Kanye West. While that seemed to introduce a bit of buyer fatigue at first, releases like the 350 V2 in "Clay" prove the partnership is still going strong.

03-30-adidas-yeezy-boost-350-v2-22clay-22-1557521474.jpg

Adidas Yeezy Boost 700 V2 'Geode'

The 700 takes the chunky sneaker trend and brings in the signature Yeezy aesthetic and super-comfortable Boost courtesy of Adidas. It's not exactly new, but it still looks good.

Nike Air Max 90 'Mars Landing'

The words "Nike" and "Mars" together tend to make most sneakerheads think of the brand's Mars Yard sneakers in collaboration with artist Tom Sachs. These AM90s are a good argument for thinking outside of that box.

03-16-nike-air-max-90-22mars-landing-22-1557521474.jpg

Air Jordan IX 'Midnight Navy'

The Air Jordan IX is never unwelcome, and this February's "Midnight Navy" colorway was no exception. The combination of dark navy patent and clean white leather feels sporty and fresh.

02-9-air-jordan-ix-22midnight-navy-22-1557714214.jpg

Nike x Off-White Air Max 90

Nike and Off-White's collaboration has been going for a while now, but the AM90 from this February is solid evidence that it hasn't lost steam. Designer Virgil Abloh's aesthetic fits perfectly with riffs on the classic style in both black and a rich tan called "Desert Ore."

The Most Popular Drinks to Order at a Bar
Pasquale Karatzetzo - Gentlemans Diary Magazine - Grey Goose Live Victoriously Greece

Unless you're finishing up your undergrad years, the days of ordering classic drinks are over. There's better stuff to drink out there, and no excuse not to try it. Besides, the social value in knowing the most classic of cocktails is immeasurable. Although you don't need to intimately acquaint yourself with the chemical makeup of each one, you might as well learn the basics.

After all, drink trends rise and fade away. There is a time and a place for spiked seltzer (anything outdoors that involves a patio grill) and low-ABV beer (anytime you're juggling drinking with physical activity). But at the bar, in the evening hours, a cocktail is in order. Especially if the draft list is uninspired. Especially if you're looking to flex your newly formed drinking muscles.

To limit the list of cocktails worth knowing to a manageable length, we rounded up the 10 most popular bar drinks in 2019. Even if you aren't familiar with them, your bartender will be, so order with confidence and drink happily.

Moscow Mule

Russia may be a heated subject right now, but this cocktail is crisp and refreshing, and good for any season. Plus it (usually) comes in a cool copper mug.

Ingredients
• 2 oz. Grey Goose vodka
• 4-6 oz. ginger beer
• 1/2 oz. lime juice

Directions
Squeeze lime juice into a Moscow Mule mug, then drop in spent shell. Add 2-3 ice cubes and Grey Goose vodka, then fill with ginger beer.

Espresso Martini

Coffee and booze in one drink—you really can't complain about that. Just make sure the bar has fresh espresso on hand before you order it.

Ingredients
• 1 oz. Grey Goose vodka
• 1 oz. coffee liqueur
• 1 oz. freshly brewed espresso
• 1 tsp. simple syrup

Directions
Shake ingredients with ice until chilled, then strain into a martini glass. Garnish with espresso beans.

Dry Martini

A classic martini technically should be made with gin, although I really prefer vodka, that's no sin either. Order it up and stirred, not shaken (sorry 007).

Ingredients
• 4 oz. Grey Goose vodka
• 1 oz. dry vermouth

Directions
Stir vermouth and gin with cracked ice, strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and garnish with an olive.

WHY VALENTINO ESPADRILLES ARE A GREAT INVESTMENT
Shoes: Valentino

Shoes: Valentino

Who doesn't love the Valentino espadrilles? But even though they're beautiful, the shoes come with a very high price tag! Is it worth investing this kind of money in a pair of espadrilles? We think it is and here is why.

1. Timeless
Just like the Valentino clothes these espadrilles are elegant and timeless. These shoes will be your go-to shoes for years and years to come.

2. Hot-buys

Valentino espadrilles have been hot-buys for a while now, one of the fastest selling items of the brand. Which means if you don't like them after a few months, you could still sell them for the same price.

3. Comfortable
The majority of espadrilles often have a harsh interior lining due to the rope-like fabric to make the shoes. The Valentino espadrilles are however very comfortable as they are made from a slim leather.

4. Whole year round
Espadrilles are not just for summer vacations and the beach, they are the perfect shoes for many occasions and you could wear them during Summer, Spring and even during warmer days in the Fall.

5. A pair for everyone
Valentino introduces espadrilles in new fabrics and colors every season. So if you're not a fan of the blue leather espadrilles like me you might love the ones in white canvas.

How To Match Different Patterns?
Total look: Pepe Jeans London / Sunglasses: Gucci / Shoes: YSL

Total look: Pepe Jeans London / Sunglasses: Gucci / Shoes: YSL

There are two types of pattern-heavy outfits:

The one that turns heads…

…because it's impeccable.

And the one that does the same…

…because it's atrocious!

If you can pull off patterned outfits successfully, the return can be big. Among other things, it can up your chances of catching a woman's eye in a crowd of men. But it requires a bit of courage and a fair amount of know-how. Fortunately, there are time-honored and simple rules for pairing patterns so they'll look great, and today we're going to be teaching you all of them.

#1. Keep Colors Muted

Go with colors that you already love and have in your wardrobe. I'm partial to blues like navy, indigo, cobalt, and admiral blue, plus greens like pine and juniper and browns like chocolate, cinnamon, and gingerbread. Yes, these are all real names of colors that I wear. For accent colors, I like to bring in whites, reds, perhaps a bit of orange.

Stick with colors that you know are going to work for you so you can focus on the pattern. If you're going to try out a super bold pattern that you've never worn before, don't bring in a color you're not sure about. Otherwise you'll

#2. Bring In Patterns Gradually

Base items like jackets, trousers, and shirts cost a lot more than small accessories like neckwear and pocket squares. So start with patterned accessories. They're items that you can switch out easily. Since they're less expensive, you can afford to experiment and make mistakes with them.

The next place to bring in patterns is in your shirts. A patterned shirt that doesn't work for you is a far cheaper mistake than a patterned suit that you realize, too late, you can only wear once a month. Patterned items like suits, trousers, and even shirts have to rotate through your wardrobe. You can't wear them again and again. This is why solids should form the basis of your wardrobe.

3. Complement, Don't Match

When two pieces match exactly- same pattern, same color – it looks boring and amateurish. Try to complement your outfit instead.

If you want to level up your style, look for colors that work well with other colors in your outfit. That's why I like colorful accessories: they allow you to choose from many different colors when putting together an outfit.

A Guide To Greek Island Spetses & Style Guide
Total look: Tom Tailor / Sunglasses: Gucci

Total look: Tom Tailor / Sunglasses: Gucci

I find it hard to write about Spetses. I’ve known it too long, loved it too well. I visit the island very often and I really love it. During the spring and summer time the island is very crowded and popular but off season I still recognize the island I first knew. The crowds of flashy Athenians and their spoiled progeny vanish except on certain weekends, the motorbike traffic drops to bearable, the overpriced boutiques close, removing their casually elegant temptations from my view, and life settles back to its naturally indolent pace. Below you will find some of my favorite places to visit while you will be there.

Behind the cafés, though, two entertainment meccas – the island’s outdoor cinemas – remain unchanged. There are bars and clubs all along the waterfront and concentrated in the Old Harbor and Baltiza (inner harbor). Like Bikini which is the best, votsalo and spetses bar.

Naturally, there are any number of places to eat. Fish fanatics may opt for grilled octopus without frills at the Fish Market near Dapia or Patralis on the water at Kounoupitsa. The latter is fancier but a good place to splurge because the food and service are always excellent. Traditional home cooking and fish are available every day of the year at Roussos Taverna near Agios Mamas, the town beach. You can choose your dish from the stew pots and baking pans behind the counter and the prices are reasonable.

In the Paliolimani, we always used to go for an ouzo at Kapeloyiannis’s tables on the dock and follow up with dinner next door at Sioras’s Exedra. At these places, where the elite meet, you can be sure to see friends, eat well and pay handsomely for the pleasure of sitting right on the water. A more moderately priced eatery in the Old Harbor, just before the road curves into the Baltiza/inner yacht harbor, is the aptly named Kalakathoumena, an expression which means "out of the blue" but taken literally could mean "sitting well". Good food, very agreeable owners.

Following the road into the Baltiza, there are several options we like, depending on the mood and pocket book: Nektarios’s taverna, on the water, for simple, economical dishes; and Costa’s Pizzeria, an institution, on the right side of the road. Costa lived in Italy for years and knows how pizzas should taste and how to keep people coming back for more, year after year.

Continuing on the road all the way around the Baltiza, usually jammed with yachts three-deep in summer and the odd fishing kaiki, will bring you to the promontory with the lighthouse at its tip. Take a look at the karnayio/shipyard at the entrance and then explore the headland. More than a great place to escape bikes and people, especially in the early evening, it is also an open-air sculpture museum scattered with highly imaginative animals crafted by Natalia Mela out of unlikely materials. Nata, a well known Athenian sculptor who made Spetses her summer home, is in her 80s and still producing delightful work from found objects like chains, rakes, tools and sheepbells. Besides her goats and bulls are a mermaid on the shore, a freedom fighter under the lighthouse and, on the new jetty near the Posidonion, a statue of Bouboulina.

Those are some of my favorite places to eat and drink. And what about swimming? At Agii Anargyri, the island’s biggest beach, you can swim into a large cave where women and children allegedly hid during at least one Ottoman raid. The story goes that their wily menfolk placed fezzes on the asphodels that grow by the hundreds near the lighthouse and frightened the enemy away.

By now all the larger beaches are equipped with sunbeds, brollies and tavernas. Closest to town is Agia Marina, which faces the Niarchos family’s island of Spetsopoula, acquired by papa Stavros after his archrival Ari Onassis bought Skorpios in the Ionian. The beach here is a bit stony but I love it in the morning before the wind chops its glassy surface into waves. Until eleven, it’s practically empty except for the oldsters enjoying their daily gossip as they tread water in the shallows with their hats on. If you’re feeling flush, have a drink or lunch at Paradisos behind the beach. Otherwise, Tzortzis on the right offers the same view for much less (and a less exciting but adequate menu).

Heading round the island – by bus, kaiki, or sea taxi if you haven’t rented wheels – omitting the smaller coves, you come to Xilokeriza (once my favorite before the houses were built), Agii Anargyri and Agia Paraskevi. This last had no taverna in our day and we saved it for special occasions – all day picnics and evening lamb roasts. The pines are much diminished since the last fire two-three years ago and the once scarily isolated house above the beach, said to be where the Magus lived, stands exposed and bereft of fantasy. The pines have re-seeded themselves though, so one hopes they will be allowed to grow.

Zogeria, the final biggish bay, faces north. It has always had a taverna and is popular with yachts. Between it and Kounoupitsa/Dapia are a few idyllic coves where pines still reach the water’s edge and cyclamen bloom with the first autumn rains.

But what to wear when you are on the island? When you are on the island the only thing that you need is your swimwear. The vibes are quiet chill and people prefer to stroll around casual and with their swimwear and a T-Shirt.

I find horses graceful, glorious creatures. There are so many things that are perfect about them; the way they are put together, the way they move, their fluid bodies and shining coats, the way they smell, their velvet noses and ticklish ears.

I find every one of them fascinating, different. Some horses are just simply magnificent. They are beautifully bred, handsome creatures with lots of attitude and character.

Why We Are Happier During Summer
Total outfit: Pepe Jeans London

Total outfit: Pepe Jeans London

There's something about waking up to sunshine, birds chirping, and warm air that puts many of us in a better mood. But why do we notice such a shift in our feelings and emotions when the seasons change? It turns out that there actually are scientific reasons you're happier in the summer; the warm weather and your sunny mood are no coincidence. It's rather common to feel more satisfied during the hotter, brighter months, and when this season gives way to the longer, darker days of winter (depending on where you live, of course), we'll once again experience a shift.

So what is it about summer that puts us so at peace? Why are we so much happier this time of year? Here's what we know:

1. Our Sleeping Habits Change Due To Light Exposure

The number of hours of daytime and nighttime have been found to have an effect on how and when we sleep. One study compared Norway (a country with large seasonal variation) to Ghana (a country with little seasonal variation).

2. Our Eating Habits Change In The Summer, Too

There are a couple of possible explanations for this one. One of the more simple reasons is that with the holidays of the winter seasons, certain types of foods are more abundant and frequent. But it goes deeper than that: It could actually come down to biology — our bodies' primitive instinct is to stockpile and store up for the winter months ahead. One study found that both our eating habits and our body weight change by season, with people consuming on average 86 more calories each day in the fall, compared to spring. Fall also brought more fatty foods than spring. None of this is to say that the foods we eat in the winter are "worse" than the foods we eat in the summer, by the way; they're just different, and they affect us in different ways.

3. Sunshine Can Be Great For Our Bodies

It goes without saying that there are very real, very scary risks associated with sun exposure, and that protecting yourself from harmful UV rays is tantamount. But sunlight is also quite vital to our health and happiness, and when you use it correctly, the benefits are significant. For instance, when you get sunlight, your body produces vitamin D from cholesterol, which helps your body absorb calcium. This is important for our bone health.

The Power of Red
IMG_2477.JPG

Red: it signifies power, boldness, and confidence. Whether you’re choosing lipstick or attire, don’t grab a the daring hue unless you’re feeling adventurous and want to make a statement. The color Red (it deserves to be capitalized) represents all things emphatic – stop signs, fire trucks and the #1 used emoji of all time: the red heart . You know me, I gotta go deeper than just making it all about what I have on…outfit details alone are boring, right?  Let’s dive into the psychology behind it. Red is a powerful color, so use its energy to communicate the emotion. It will be seen and heard; make no mistake! The color is completely contradictory and extreme, so it’s associated with superhero powers, danger, fury, or extreme love and passion.

The face of men’s fashion is changing. The wardrobe of the modern male population has gone from the classic grey to the extremely alluring floral patterns. When it comes to wearing the bold and vibrant floral print, the art of pulling off this edgy look is something every man needs to learn. For all the men who are planning to go floral this bikini season, listed below are tips that may come handy for you. The floral appearance from head to toe is a bit tricky to pull off. Not every man can look dapper in the bold and vibrant patterns. Thus, it is advisable to contrast the shade with solid colors. Either wear a floral dress shirt or a bottom featuring the sassy print. You can even pair the button down with denim shorts. Nothing can beat the look of a man sporting a dress shirt with the white shorts. Floral printed shirt looks best with black jeans. Other than this, even you are wearing a floral coat, then, make sure that the shirt features solid color. The combination that contrast each other will make you stand out from rest of the mass.

For all its timelessness, a check blazer is a point of difference, a break from the norm and could be just what you need to spice up both your formal and casual dress.

If it’s your first foray into the pattern, then start with a casual take on the check blazer and keep it simple. By its very nature, checks carry an air of formality, especially if they’re weaved in contrasting colours. Today, the check translates perfectly to a more urban casual look.

For a spring look, you can go a little simpler with your outfit, making sure not to neglect the accessories that can help pull everything together.
