Spring in Japan is magical. From late March to mid-April, the country’s iconic sakura (cherry blossoms) blankets the earth in muted wonder. Blossoms begin in Okinawa and moves up-country on its Cherry Blossom-Front or sakura-zensen. The Japanese are dedicated followers of the forecast, holding location-dependent celebrations, or hanami.
