Thom Browne and Zac Posen Re-imagine The Infiniti Q50

American fashion icons and design pioneers Zac Posen and Thom Browne joined forces with Nissan’s luxury counterpart, Infiniti, on a redesign of the Q50 model. The collaborative project was brought forth by Gilt.com, and invited Posen and Browne to custom tailor the car’s interior and exterior as a reflection of each designer’s signature style and aesthetic. Featuring a chrome finish at the exterior, Thome Browne’s version borrows inspiration from his series statements, with a red, white and blue racing stripe running along the black leather interior. At Zac Posen’s hand, the car is given a rich velvet touch, with deep reds and smooth leathers contrasting the silver ombré effect at the exterior. With each car priced at $75,000 USD, the designers are also introducing a series of accessories – a card case from Thom Browne and smartphone clutch from Zen Posen – that are designed as an extension of the special project.
